The Spanish Social Security reach 100 years. 

At the beginning of 2000 a century was fulfilled since the January 30, 1900 the Ley de Accidentes de Trabajo ( Law of Industrial accidents ) was promulgated and that supposed the first implantation of the social insurance in Spain.

In 1908 the Instituto Nacional de Previsión ( INP ) ( National Institute of Social Security ) is created, like independent organization of public right in charge of the management of the Social Security in the Spanish State, with voluntary character. In November of 1978 this one disappears and it was divided in three new managing organizations ; 

• The Instituto Nacional de la Salud ( INSALUD ) ( National Institute of the Health ), ordered of the management and administration of the sanitary services of the Social Security.
• The Instituto Nacional de Servicios Sociales ( INSERSO )( National Institute of Social Services ), that is dedicated to the management of the complementary benefits of the Social Security, that is to say, of the social attendance.
• And the Instituto Nacional de la Seguridad Social ( INSS ) ( National Institute of Social Security ), that's in charge of the management and administration of the economic benefits of the Social Security.
