The last week of May 2000 the 20th Convention of the European Foundation of Carnival Cities ( FECC ) was celebrated in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, that culminated with a cavalcade and a reproduction of the Carnival during the weekend.
In this cavalcade of Carnival they participated a group of masks representing the Italian Carnival, groupings of Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Brazil and Tenerife, as well as the queen of the Carnival of Amsterdam, Holland, and the performance of the singer Carlos Baute.

The objective of the FECC is the promotion of the celebration by all Europe, simultaneously that serves as nexus as union between the different forms to understand this celebration.
